Information we collect
When you order a book
- Your name and email address
- Your shipping and billing address
- What you bought from us
Your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you email us
Your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you visit the site
Our advertising tags (see "Cookies and advertising" below) collect information such as the pages you visit, whether you arrived by clicking one of our ads, whether you made a purchase, and basic details about your device and browser.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and track your order, and to email you your receipt and shipping updates
- To answer your questions and handle returns
- To measure which of our ads lead to purchases, so we can spend our advertising budget wisely
- Unless you ask us not to, to occasionally email you about specials, new books, or changes to this policy. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us to opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what they need to do their job:
- Stripe processes your payment and calculates sales tax. See stripe.com/privacy.
- ShipStation and the shipping carriers receive your name and shipping address so they can deliver your book.
- Netlify hosts the small system that passes your order from Stripe to ShipStation.
- Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising receive the website activity described below.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising
We use the Google Ads tag and the Microsoft Advertising (UET) tag on this site. They use cookies and similar technology to record visits to our pages and purchases made after clicking one of our ads. Google and Microsoft may also use this information to show our ads to people who have visited our site.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site will still work, but we won't be able to tell which ads are working.
After you place an order, our thank-you page also saves a small note in your browser so that the same order isn't counted twice if you reload the page. It contains your order's reference code and nothing else.

Security
We take precautions to protect your information both online and offline. Payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of certification in the payments industry. Only people who need your information to do their job, such as shipping your order or answering your email, can access it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. If you feel we are not following this policy, please email us right away.
